Cobra 25 Nightwatch

Hello,

I just bought a cobra 35 nightwatch with weather from a auction, and everthing works properly it seems however whoever receives my transmission gets a loud buzzing sound and my voice sounds far away. it seems to transmit fairly far but i am bairly understandable over the cb yet i can hear others perfectly. any thoughts?

CHECK THE MIC..Sounds like you have mic problems.

That what i first thought the problem was however i called a local cb shop and they said it soudns like a ground problem so i grounded it by screwing a wire from the metal case to the chasis of my vehicle and that didnt help at all. so im gonna try the mic now but im not very hopeful

mic first, (borrow a good one from someone) then it may be losing its modulation or off frequency on transmit
