Lincoln with no display and no TX and RX

Post by Chevin »

i have got Lincoln off eBay i know its not the best place to buy a radio but it was cheap. The problem is there is no display and will not TX or RX. i have check all the voltage regulators and there are all ok with the right voltage coming out of them the big chip on the pll board has very low volts on most of the pins about 1.5 to 2 volts the only pins which is right are 13, 17, 32, 64 at 5.0 volts. I have just noticed that when first switch on the display comes on for about 2 to 3 seconds. Can anyone help or would be best to put in back on eBay.

Hi ramblingman change ic312 5 volt regulator and c393 1000uF capacitor and all the resistors + diodes around ic312 but the problem is still the same. I have found if you hold the channel up or down in the display flashes on and off. The fault must be on the processors board as I have just tried one from friends Lincoln and it works ok. I am going to check all the signals around the processors and voltages as I have a storage scope at work and see what i come up with.
