RCI 2970 Stuck in TX mode
RCI 2970 Stuck in TX mode
I have an older version RCI 2970 that I just turned on and it is stuck in the TX mode. The amp board is working fine with full output, and whith the amp board power disconnected the problem still exists. Checked the mic jack as well, seems to be fine. Anyone seen this problem before and can help??
One more thing, no TX audio out, just a carrier. Must press mic to get the audio.

If it uses a battery test the battery.

Only battery in there is the memory battery, it tested fine and is working.

Q51 collector voltage only .9 volts on AM TX, should be around 4 volts. SSB TX voltage is 13 volts which is correct according to info I have here. Replaced Q51 with same results. This is as far as I have gotten.
One more thing, I was talking on my Mark III set up with 200 watt tube box and switched back to the 2970 when this problem occurred. I am wandering if I you can overload the the other radio even if it is off?? Both radios are connected to a heavy duty coax switch so I can swith them in and out to the beam. I rarely use the Browning so this has me wandering if I may have overloaded something in the 2970 radio while transmitting on the Browning set up. I did check the switching and it seems to be working correctly.
