galaxy 94hp ppe mod

hi, i was wondering about the simple ppe mod for the 94hp .
this is basically just a resistor/diode mod on the voltage regulator .
my question is "is this mod ok for the mosfet transistors in the 94hp?this mod in question is for the 6900 boards but doesnt say wether it be mosfets or bipolar transistors.
the mod location is in this picture .
so,is this ok to do to the 94hp?
i done this mod on a general lee (different location in that radio)and that radio swings very nice on a bird meter now .
