I just purchased a pristine TRC449 mobile radio. It TX great but when you unkey the mic, the receive slowly fades out until you can not receive. Transmit again and the receive will return for a couple of seconds and then slowly fade out again.
Any ideas as to where the problem may lay?

i have had this problem with older relay switching sets before and have fixed it by cleaning the contacts on the relay. cheers jenny
