I just installed the ekl 2030 mod to my new 29 ltd and it has low output. approx 3 watts dead key , 8 swinging. Ive seen where the bias voltage needs to be set to raise output. Ive got around 1.5 volts to the far left leg of the 2030. I decided to put a 10k pot from pos side of c117 as described in past posts but it blows fuses as soon as i key up. Now ive seen other posts that say to put it on c116 or does it even matter ? I hope i havent messed anything else up. Is 1.5 volts stock about right on the bias or am i measuring it wrong. Thanks

You need about 3.0 volts.... Run it from the gate which is the leg farthest to the right looking at the solder side and then run the other leg to the positive side of C116....
