shorted cobra 29

I have a cobra 29 nw st with wx on the bench. It has a short which is just blowing fuses each time or tripping my dc supply. What diode or other components should i be concerned with looking at?

change D17, it may look ok, but it is most likely short. This diode is at the back of the radio neat to where the power wires are the diode is black and is a 1N4003.

LISTEN TO RICK HE REALLY KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT MINE HAD SAME PROBLEM RICK WAS MORE THEN HELPFUL WALKED ME THRU IT AND NOW IS BACK UP AND RUNNING GREAT THANKS AGAIN RICK
