Two general questions on MAGNUM 257
1. What setting does the owners use on the mic gain..example 12 oclock, or??
for am and ssb???

2. What mic are you using..stock or what????

Hey Doc. I'm using the Astatic 636L on mine, with an adapter. Everyone says it's loud and crystal clear. Also run the mic gain at 100%. Never have had any complaints.
