Blown Final side-effects?

I have a 2950 pre-DX. I saw one of the finals had a hole melted in it but the radio still worked. One day I had no transmit, no recieve, and dim lights. Is this all a result of the final finally giving out, or did I fry other stuff by letting the problem go? Any input or theories are very welcomed. Thanks.

Unfortunately you probably caused more damage by not having it fixed when you first noticed the problem, sounds like it's time to take it to a GOOD radio engineer.
