Magnum 257 problems
I got an older 257 Orange display model with dual 1969's. I have about .5-1 watt TX and broken up to no RX. Voltage Reg. SB778 has 13 volts . 7808 regulators give me 8 and 13volts. I get a chirping sound when I TX. I don't have any RX from a radio next to it.

I bought the radio with issues. I had low TX , 1-2 watts AM. I swapped the AM regulator to an 2SB817, still same problem. I bought the radio with no audio out just a 1/2 watt dk in AM , SSB has audio but with low swing of 1 watt to 3 watt swing.
